Archive for March 2011

Wheeee snow, at the (almost) end of March. After the snow pretty much melted with a few days of warm weather, we’d begun to hope for spring. But Winter’s like “no, can’t have that”. So we got dumped today. It’s been snowing all day, and still going strong as I type right now.

(I’m writing this post a week after I actually played through the part, so my memory might be fuzzy…)

Going south of Driftveil to Cold Storage. Fought random trainers on the way, caught some wild Pokemon, including the Ice Cream Cone, Vanillite, mmmm Ice Cream…

At the entrance of Cold Storage, Cheren joins me, and the NPC there tells us to go in. Sure, let kids go into this dangerous place to deal with the troublemakers Team Plasma while the adults sit back and watch. No problem!
Driftveil to Spirit Tower

Nimbasa city, with the electric gym leader. She looks like a Vocaloid XD This gym shouldn’t be too bad, I have Sandile and Blitzle with Motor Drive.
Nimbasa City to Driftveil

In Castelia City now. Oooh I can go on streets, where there are random pedestrians. And unlike normal NPCs that walk in circles, these ppl spawn and walk in straight lines. They also walk around you if they bump into you XD It’s fun to shove people out of the way, haha. There are buildings along the streets that you can go into, and a few floors will be available for each building. (I wish DS had screencap capabilities)
Burn bugs burn

Smugleaf leveled up to level 17. What? Smugleaf is evolving!

Oooh the evolving animation looks cool, like your Pokemon is defragmented and put back together as its evolved form 😀 As much as Snivy is cute, yay evolution!! I love how he crosses his short little arms while waiting for you to press A to scroll the text.

Congratulations! Your Smugleaf evolved into Servine!

Second gym badge time!

So I left the first city, and headed for the city with the first gym, where I’ll be fighting the brothers, the fire type guy Chili, since my starter is grass type.
Adventures in Stration and Dreamyard

I just started my Pokemon journey on Pokemon White, and I thought I’d record it somewhere.

“Are you a boy, or a girl?”

Ahaha professors still can’t tell if you’re a girl or a boy. But I’m a girl, thanks.

“What’s your name?”

Hmm…. I wonder. I thought to name myself “Candice”, but nah. I ended up with “Rose”.

I went to the meeting today, and many people have already started playing Pokemon Black/White. It made me jealous and want to play as well, since they’re all trading friend codes and battling. (Rotation battle looks really fun and interesting, you each have 3 Pokemon on the field at the same time, and you can choose to rotate to put a Pokemon up to battle before Pokemon make their moves. You can also use items by “launching”, when you save up enough “points”).

You can also do surveys, and can monitor your friends’ activities as they play. Apparently, if you leave your DS on, it can find other ppl who have Black/White automatically (I guess they’d have to allow for wi-fi connection too). Sounds stalkerish? yeah…

Anyway, I came home, and find a package in the kitchen. It’s Pokemon White! It’s from Dylan as a White Day (harhar) present, awwww… so that’s why he told me not to get it when it came out yesterday >__<

My Pokemon adventure is just about to begin! I'm going to pick Snivy, my first time using the grass starter actually.
